Traffic moving to and from Kashgarr's weekly animal market, where one can buy yaks, donkeys, sheep, cows or goats. Trading is swift and boisterous between swarthy old traders, and by lunchtime thousands of animals are squeezed through the bazaar gates. Kashgar, in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, is located near the borders of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
